5/18/17 – Blake McIver and Susie McIver Ewing

Star Search Winner, Full House, The Little Rascals and Bravo’s The People’s Couch Co-star, Blake McIver joins Michael and Andrew to discuss “Blake Sings Barbra” returning to the Cavern Club Theatre in Los Angeles for encore performances May 19th and 20th. The fascinating and heartfelt evening is a journey through the music and patter of Barbra Streisand’s legendary 1994 World Concert Tour.

In the vein of Rufus Wainwright singing the Judy Garland at Carnegie Hall concert, the singer puts his own spin on Streisand’s  iconic songs and patter while sharing the ups and downs of his own life as a Junior Star Search Winner, former child star, go-go boy, and independent singer/songwriter

McIver is best known for his extensive film and television work, he is no stranger to music and theatre. From singing with greats like Natalie Cole, David Foster, Michael Jackson, and Barry Manilow to his Ovation nominated performance in the US premiere of the critically acclaimed musical Ragtime.

Susie Mciver Ewing – One of the highlights of Susie’s extensive career as a dancer, singer and actress was the five years she spent performing on the Dean Martin Variety Show as one of Dean’s original Golddiggers.  She has performed with Frank Sinatra, Gene Kelley, Tony Bennett, Shirley Jones, Sammy Davis Jr., Barbra Streisand and Ann Margaret among many others.  She also traveled around the world for three consecutive years entertaining our troops with the Bob Hope USO Christmas Tour to Viet Nam.  Susie has also produced and directed numerous productions throughout the Los Angeles area.  As a choreographer, she has been associated with her longtime colleague/choreographer Joe Giamalva.
