The Breakdown Services 5th Annual CSA Artios Awards Nominee Reception was held last night, January 16, at Now Boarding, the swanky, aviation-themed bar West Hollywood. The must-do event for all Artios Nominated Casting Directors, their Associates, Assistants, Network and Studio Casting Executives, and CSA Board members provides everyone a fun, casual chance to catch up with their peers without the pressure of a pending award.
The night, which was complete with great food from caterer and personal chef Lisa Weintraub (Chef Lisa), provided the perfect opportunity for all of the nominees to chat amongst themselves in anticipation of tomorrow’s (January 18) CSA Artios Awards Ceremony.
“We started hosting an Artios Nominee Party to celebrate all of the nominees because we thought it was a group of people that did not get enough recognition when it came to the creative process. We want to celebrate the Nominees and their Associates and Assistants. The contribution of the Casting Director is often overlooked and we want all of the people involved in the casting process to be applauded,” noted Gary Marsh, President of Breakdown Services.
The event was packed from wall to wall with talented Casting Directors and their teams as we celebrated this year’s outstanding achievements in casting. From catching up with old friends to making new ones, the night was a spirited affair with lively conversation filling every corner of the room.
As we prepare for tomorrow’s 33rd annual CSA Artios Awards Ceremony, Breakdown Services would like to give another round of hearty congratulations to all nominees on their truly incredible work.
