♦ Grab the tissues — the first look at This Is Us Season 2 is finally here! The clip shows a heartfelt conversation between Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and his mother, (Mandy Moore). Randall reveals that his wife is struggling with his adoption plans and asks his mother, Rebecca, how she and his father (played by Milo Ventimiglia) decided to adopt him. Rebecca opens up to Randall and admits she, too, struggled with the decision to adopt, and it was his father who pushed her in the right direction. “He was so determined that you were meant to be. Meant to be ours,” she said. “He pushed a stranger on me, and that stranger became my child. And that child became my life. He became you.” Cue us crying! It’s safe to say our tear ducts aren’t ready for what’s to come this season.

This Is Us returns to NBC on September 26. Casting by Bernie Telsey, Tiffany Little Canfield and Josh Einsohn of Telsey + Co. Casting.
