Michael and Andrew welcome Broadway’s Melissa Fahn who talks about her musical theatre career and her starring role on Broadway as Glinda in Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman’s mega hit musical Wicked; as well as her upcoming title starring role for the Musical Theatre Guild of Los Angeles (MTG) in Peter Stone Jule Styne and Bob Merrill’s Sugar, a musical adaptation of the legendary 1959 hit movie comedy Some Like it Hot with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe. Southland regional musical theatre star Zachary Ford also joins the panel to discuss his favorite roles and his co-starring role opposite Melissa Fahn in Sugar. The September 24 one night only staged presentation of Sugar at Glendale’s Alex Theatre marks the the 22nd Anniversary season of the Musical Theatre Guild of Los Angeles. As part of Musical Theatre Guild’s commitment to engage younger generations in the arts, a portion of the tickets to Sugar will be allocated, free of charge, to underserved schools.
